SCOTLAND – Weber Shandwick in Scotland has revealed its new website complete with one of the first .Scot domain names.
The site, webershandwick.scot, means the company is the only PR and communication firm able to use the exclusive domain until the end of September.
It is also one of only five sites to be exclusively .Scot as many others currently redirect to .co.uk and .com sites.
The fully responsive site not only shows off the wide range of services offered by the award winning company but the personnel and the ongoing impressive research carried out by the firm.
Moray Macdonald, Weber Shandwick Scotland Managing Director said: “As a global company with a defined Scottish offering it makes perfect sense for Weber Shandwick to be a pioneer company for .Scot and to launch our first specific Scottish company website.
“We were one of the first – if not the first – PR and communication agencies to have an in-house design team, we were one of the first to offer website builds to clients. Our ongoing award wins, globally and in Scotland, for digital engagement by the likes of trade body the CIPR show that our peers recognise our efforts of engaging always.
“.Scot is the latest chapter in our ongoing digital evolution and we wish it every success – both as a client but also from the point of view to the benefits that it could bring the Scottish community across the globe.”
.Scot went live on July 15 with backing from the Scottish Government, Scouts Scotland, WWF Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and other organisations. The domain will be open to others to purchase and use from September 23.
